Meet Dr. Cohen

Dr. Cohen was born and raised in the Boston area. She attended high school at Buckingham, Browne and Nichols School in Cambridge, and continued her undergraduate studies nearby at Tufts University. After graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Russian from Tufts, Dr. Cohen worked at Massachusetts General Hospital in the department of molecular neuro-oncology where she published several articles.

Dr. Cohen then pursued an advanced degree at Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM), graduating with a DMD with honors in research. This research was completed at the University of Helsinki in the department of Developmental Biology. She continued her studies at HSDM, completing a certificate in Orthodontics as well as a post-doctoral Masters of Medical Science (MMSc) in Oral Biology. While at Harvard, she was awarded the Emma Gildersleeve Lane Fund Scholarship, the John E. Thayer Scholarship, the C.V. Starr Scholarship, and the Paul Dudley White Traveling Fellowship. Dr. Cohen proudly served on the admissions committee, ushering in HSDM’s next generation of dentists. She also participated in many volunteer opportunities, including Give Kids a Smile, Operation Mouthguard, and a dental outreach trip to the Sri Ram Orphanage in India.

Orthodontics provides Dr. Cohen with the opportunity to create long-term personal connections with her patients while artistically creating smiles, and she deeply enjoys her work. Dr. Cohen strives to continuously improve her craft by attending lectures and courses, and through reviewing articles for the Orthodontic journal AJO-DO.
Outside of the field of Orthodontics, Dr. Cohen loves working in many forms of studio art, spending time outdoors (in particular in the lakes and mountains of New Hampshire), and enjoying the company of family, friends, and dogs.
